CAPE ANN'S RUGGED, ROCKY SHORES HAVE PROVIDED SCENIC BEAUTY CAPTURED BY MANY PHOTOGRAPHERS. IN THE MID TO LATE 1800'S WHEN STEREOVIEWS WERE EXTREMELY POPULAR, PHOTOGRAPHERS CREATED MANY SETS OF CARDS DEPICTING THE CAPE ANN SCENERY. PART OF THOSE SCENES ALSO SHOWED THE LIGHTHOUSES THAT HELPED PROTECT THE VESSELS AS THE CAME AND WENT FROM GLOUCESTER HARBOR AND THE GRAND BANKS.
